CIEM’s Tina Comes led a session on disaster recovery and reconstruction. Conference Preceedings available online.

Over 1000 participants from more than 100 countries gather at the International Disaster and Risk Conferences (IDRC) -  the world leading conferences on integrative risk management. It's an unique community of business leaders, decision makers, practitioners, UN-, IO- & NGO-agents, and scientists that shares and discusses new findings and experiences about the broad spectrum of risks societies are facing today.

The IDRC 2014 conference in Davos, Switzerland in August 2014 focused on the dialogue between science, policy-makers and practitioners in disaster risk management. The outcomes aim to support science & technology recommendations for the HFA2 (Pre Zero draft), enhance the understanding of integrative risk management, suggest economic opportunities and private sector investments and provide governance recommendations.

CIEM’s Tina Comes led a session on disaster recovery and reconstruction. Discussions in this session centred around the potential contribution of researchers, innovators, and engineers to support a better alignment of response and recovery. The Conference Proceedings are available online
