This PhD project is concerned with social media analysis in political crisis, when different parties would aim to manipulate and distract the public by disseminating false information. This research is challenging the identification of different opinions trustworthiness about a specific claim. We apply Causal Bayesian Networks to reason about possible causes and effects within the dynamics of information propagation on social media platforms.
- what a biased opinion would cause to the deception level of a discussion
- how can we identify a biased opinion?
- how to consider another opinion as reliable?
- are there are any other causes or counterfactuals in such process?
