My research interests include crises management, system dynamics modeling (e.g. information security, security culture and safety, threats and risks), bayesian network modeling (e.g. crisis situations). I am also developing an interest toward research related to the application of smartphone sensors for emergency situations, mobile sensing and its intersections with human-centric computing (e.g. recognition of human activities), and its potential application for decision support in the area of security, safety and disaster management. I am interested in developing research instruments using qualitative methodologies (e.g. interviews, online survey or Delphi method) for model validation, in addition to statistical approaches.
